Telephone Reassurance Program

This program provides a preventative support system for residents. The Telephone Reassurance Program matches a volunteer to a local resident to simply check-in via phone, text, or email, providing a sense of comfort and reassurance to the resident and his family. The vetted volunteers are trained to determine how to proceed if the phone is not answered or if there are concerns that arise during the call. 

*Members will be able to select their own schedule of calls. Some members may not need the daily call for security (e.g. May only be lacking support at home on weekends).

Many of the volunteer phone callers are also seniors who wish to contribute to the community but can’t participate in more strenuous activities.  This increases their sense of well-being and involvement in the community, as well as reducing isolation both for the volunteers and the individuals they call.

Home Safety and Fire Safety Programs

Services include:

·Smoke detector checks and installations

·Fire safety inspections

·Group education: Fire and Fall Prevention Program for Older Adults, made available by the National Fire Protection Association
